vmkThanks to the Disney blog, we bring you word that some fans of Disney’s Virtual Magic Kingdom free gaming Web site are organizing a protest for Saturday.

The free site (also called VMK) was designed as an online promotion for Disneyland’s 50th anniversary and it will end May 21. Now we bring the news that VMK Kids Unite is organizing a 7-11 a.m. protest in front of Disneyland in Anaheim.

The group says 30 people are registered to attend so far. The protest will be around the main thoroughfares to Disneyland at the intersections of West Ball Road and South Disneyland Drive and the second location at South Harbor Boulevard and Disney Way in Anaheim.

“Disney has yet to show any compassion for the kids whose dreams are being broken by their discussion to close the park.” said Christopher Douglas spokesman for VMK Kids Unite. “It is time to publicly ask Disney; what happened to the Year of a Million Dreams?”

  • ToThePoint says:

Some of the 30 registered protestors may not show up,
if their parents are unable to drive them to Disneyland.

  • Most of these people are parents, adults, community leaders that are pre-registered as protesters for the event and have their own cars to drive themselves to Disneyland.

  • Tayseth says:

Yeah, i dont think a twelve year old would participate in this.
