Legend has it that a warrior and a tiger battled eacho other a long, long, time ago. But then they became one — a tiger god.
In “Secrets of the Stone Tiger,” a live-action Indiana Jones production being staged today at Disneyland, the hero finds an ancient relic hidden in a giant stone tiger head.
With the help of an explorer friend of his and the children of the audience, the power of the “shardul,” the relic, is released.
About 260 spectators watched Indiana as he battled a surprise enemy. The 20-minute show included plenty of audience interaction, especially for the about 30 chldren who attended the second show of the day. They got to crouch like a tiger, give water to a stone tiger and even put together a puzzle to help Indiana on his mission.
Darlene Giese and her children — Madison, 8, and Connor, 11 — watched the performance and thought it was “great.”
“Indiana Jones is from my generation,” said the 41-year-old mother. “I remember watching the first movie — it was lots of fun.”
The Giese Family plans to watch the new movie tomorrow.
