Update: Earlier we allowed readers to add options themselves to the poll. Now, if you would like something added to the poll, you must either e-mail us or leave a comment below with what you would like added to the poll. All reader-submitted options in the poll are noted by a *Submitted by reader.
What is the worst attraction in Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure? Here’s your chance to share your opinion in the poll below.
We’ve started the poll off with a few ideas, but feel free to add other attractions as options in the poll. Click on the photo slide show at right to see details on each of the nominated attractions.
Next week, we’ll share what attraction won (er, which ride was considered the baddest of them all) and we’ll then give you a chance to vote for the No. 1 ride at the Disneyland Resort.

Disney has alot of good rides, but the honey I shrunk the audience os not fun at all. It’s worn out and its time to get some new ones and replace the old ones. I did however like the Toy Story ride during the ride, but afterwards hurt my hands and wrist. I don’t recommended this one if you have carpal tunnel. I am looking forward to the new Tinkerbell attraction, I think in October from what I hear from a cast member.

Awwww, don’t hate on the Tiki Room! I did a research project on it, and it’s seriously such an enchanting attraction. Modern park-goers may not appreciate that were it not for the innovations reached through the Tiki Room, crowd favorites like Pirates of the Carribean and the Haunted Mansion couldn’t have been achieved. The Tiki Room is also a perfect remnant of the 1950s/1960s Tiki craze that dominated American culture for quite some time. Disney hit the Tiki trend spot-on!

Must be a slow news day.

We avoided watching Golden Dreams for years until this last April. Now, we’ve watched it 4 times since then. If people knew what it was, I think it would have much higher attendance.

Too bad they would not let us vote for more than one, because Disneyland has a handful of out-of-date lame rides. To be honest, Knott’s Berry Farm is so much better and so much less expensive. We quit going to Disneyland unless we get free tickets. Seriously Disneyland, is it necessary to charge people $12 to park in your lot when they are coming inside to spend hundreds of dollars already? Can you say GREED??

Finding Nemo Submarines! The line is so long, there is no FastPass, and then when you finally get on, the ride is so BAD! The story is completely lame, as is the whole ride. I dread the day my 2 year-old discovers it & begs me to stand in line.

I agree with Todd, after spending almost 300 dollars for a family of 4 to get in and then hundreds on over priced foul food and toys you get to pay 12 more to park your car . WOW sounds like a deal to me. A family could easily spend a thousand dollars in just cheap toys, food, parking and admission to the park. I think Mr. Disney would be disgusted by the corporate greed that has become his dream land.
Shame on you Disney land exec’s for raping tourism. criminals your all just criminals.

Completely re-do Tomorrowland. So much wasted space and outdated attractions. Adventureland and Fantasyland retain most of the Disney charm and don’t need any major changes. I’d change Pirates of the Carribean back to it’s original self. I’m tired of Captain Jack Sparrow. I’d also change the Haunted Mansion back to it’s original self. What happened to Toontown? There’s nothing to do there anymore and we avoid it all together.

I still to this day don’t know why they replaced Bear Country Jamboree with Winnie the Pooh! A common Amusement park ride with Disney overtones. What a waste!

Disneyland is horrible…why go there? My son loves Legoland…better food and not so tacky and outdated.

Let this be a fine example about how outrageous the ticket prices are. The greed needs to stop, over 65% of the poll could not be wrong about the high ticket costs

Harsh, boys and/or girls, your treatment of the classic Disneyland attraction “Frozen Walt’s Skater-Rific Ice Bungee.” Sure, it’s really just an off-the-shelf industrial carpet cleaning machine purchased on the cheap from the (former) East German company Imitierte Namenarbeiten Werks shortly after the fall of Communism, but those were tough times for not only the former GDR-ians, but for the folks at Disney, too. The original idea, by the by, was to use the twin rotating arms to bounce 6-person boats up and down in a “cartoon” recreation of Balboa Harbor with the whole thing having a “Boatniks” (1970) theme to it. It is said that there still exists an audio recording of Wally Cox and Phil Silvers providing a preshow narration — both the “official” version, and supposedly a “blue” version with Wally and Phil going off about Dick and Pat Nixon. However, at literally the last moment, someone noticed that the poster being used as the guide for the concept art also showed the “added special second feature” of “Ice Monkey Island,” one of the latter “True Life” nature featureettes. In it, of course, is the scene of Walk Cummins, the keeper of the ice monkeys, towing the chimps around on the ice in Prudhoe Bay at the end of a length of heavy rubberized cord. Well, considering how the machine already being assembled at the park worked, it was as nothing to change “The Boatniks” into the “Frozen Walt’s Skater-Rific Ice Bungee.” A lame ride, lousy graphics, a weird musical score (”Swan Lake performed by Walter Carlos? WTF, indeed!), but it was a sure-fire way for a guy, if he had missed his chance on “Pirates of the Caribbean,” to finally cop a feel from his date.

Wow… You all act as if Disney really cares what you think.
July 1st, 2008 at 4:03 pm
What the heck were they thinking when they redid the Rockets To Outerspace? The old ride was much better. the tiki room is a great place to go at the end of the day when you are hot and tired. Who cares if the bird show is lame?

Suggestions:
1. Make an exhibit or a ride with the “Walt’s Frozen Head” theme.
2. Revive the Horseshoe Review but with strippers.
3. Serve Booze, and lot’s of it.
4. Include a Jungle Fever reference on the Jungle Cruise.
5. Bring back the E Ticket!

The Nemo ride is a complete and utter snooze-fest. I always wonder why so many people wait in line for it. As for the ticket prices, it’s obvious that they want people to just buy the annual pass. The difference between a park hopper ticket and an annual pass is rather small. My pass just expired and trust me, I won’t be going back for seconds in the next decade or two.

DISNEYLAND IS A RIP OFF AND SHOULD BE BOYCOTTED FOR STEALING OUR MONEY! I WOULD NEVER SPEND MY MONEY IN THAT IDIOTIC PLACE.

I don’t know if there is any real “worst” ride in my opinion. There may be attractions that are lacking the magic that Walt intended for there to be in every instalation the park made. Especially some of the later ones. For example, the Finding Nemo attraction. There was so much hype about this ride. I couldn’t wait to get to see how amazing it was. I was so determined to get on that I waited for two hours after arriving at the park at 7 Am (rediculous) and after I rode I was extremely dissapointed. There was no real plot to the ride. Just Disney trying to show off with TV screens under water. I almost fell asleep!

The snow white ride is the worst!

I haven’t been to D-land since the early 90s. Do they still have the one with Lincoln on Main Street?

My vote is for Pressler/Eisnerland, aka DLR’s 1998 Tomorrowland Redo, er redon’t. Sonya– the Tiki room as a nod for worst attraction in the resort. For shame!!!

Update: Chrystine sent me an e-mail writing that we add “Francis Ladybug Boogie” to the poll. It has been added. Here are her comments: “The Francis/lady bug spinners in Bugs Land is the worst ride!!!”

Until they FIX the ticket and parking prices, they won’t be getting a penny from me. Could get 3-4 days at Knott’s for 1 day at GREED Land

My husband and I use to have season passes to Disneyland. But the prices kept going up and up and up! When the passes neared $400.00 we just gave up. Really not worth it anymore. Long lines, expensive food, rude people working there. For being the “Happiest Place on Earth” the people who work there don’t seem very happy. They seem as harrassed as everyone else in that park and I can’t really blame them.
July 2nd, 2008 at 2:17 pm
Last year my whole family had season passes. I got free parking with my pass and we would just bring food with us. The day is free! If you use a season pass, you get way more for your money if you like to go atleast 8 times a year like i do.

Guess what! The updated poll has REMOVED the “High Ticket Price” entry, all those 700+ votes and top response of this poll meant nothing, maybe they were paid off to remove it?
July 6th, 2008 at 9:08 am
Wow, tough to decide between the disturbing Pooh ride and the lame Innoventions, especially when you consider what used to be in those spaces.
