A new hotel opened this week in Garden Grove, near the Anaheim-Resort area.

The Sheraton Garden Grove-Anaheim South Hotel opened Tuesday at 12221 Harbor Blvd. The hotel includes 285 rooms and suites, a Club Level with daily complimentary Hospitality Hour and breakfast for hotel club members, an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi, a 24-hour gym, the Fusion Restaurant and a lobby bar.

The new hotel also offers more than 9,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, including a grand ballroom and meeting board room for up to 600 guests. The hotel is 100 percent non-smoking.

This hotel joins the about 500 hotel properties already in Orange County that offer nearly 55,000 guest rooms, according to the Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau. The bureau states that more than 150 of those hotel properties with nearly 20,000 guest rooms in Anaheim.

The new hotel’s offer of more than 9,000 square feet of meeting space comes as the city of Anaheim is still choosing which of three teams will expand the Anaheim Convention Center.
