120 Santas heading to Knott’s on Saturday

Santas get their full uniforms ready. More than 150 Santas showed up at Knott's Berry Farm last year for an annual convention, and about 120 are expected at the Knott's Berry Farm Resort Hotel again on Saturday for this year's get-together.


It’s January, and it was a month ago that the last stocking got stuffed, the last lump of coal left behind.

So what is there for Santa to do? Head to Knott’s Berry Farm, of course!

On Saturday, for the 14th year in a row, Santas from all over will converge at the Knott’s Berry Farm Resort Hotel. (No word on whether valet reindeer parking will be provided.)

Fraternal Order of Real Bearded Santas (FORBS) is joining the International Order of Santas (IOS) for the weekend gathering of jolly old elves.

About 120 Santas are expected to browse Santa-related merchandise, share experiences, and maybe even discuss how to answer the letter from little Ralph in Fontana who wants a bazooka for Christmas.

After all, being Santa is serious business. The IOS (http://iosantas.com) even has a Yahoo! discussion board.
