Disneyland switches fireworks shows

fireworksledeDisneyland is switching up its fireworks shows over the next two weeks.

The last night of “Halloween Screams” — a special fireworks show for Halloween Time — was Sunday. That show ran almost every night for about five weeks.

This coming weekend, the “Remember … Dreams Come True” show will come back for just three nights: Nov. 6, 7 and 8, according to the Disneyland Web site. “Remember” was created for Disneyland’s 50th anniversary celebration. A flying Tinker Bell will not join the show this weekend, said John McClintock, a Disneyland spokesman.

The next fireworks show, “Believe … in Holiday Magic,” is scheduled to start up Nov. 13, the same day that the Christmas holiday season begins.

The holiday show is scheduled for either 8 p.m. or 9:25 p.m., depending on the day. Check the Disneyland Web site’s schedule for details.

Also for the holidays, the corral side of Big Thunder Ranch, where the petting zoo runs, is closed starting today so workers can prepare for Santa’s Reindeer Round-up. The barbecue restaurant side will remain open, McClintock said. The ranch re-opens Nov. 13.

Took a 10 hour drive ‘cross the countryside, in the car with my kids - had no place to hide.
When we finally arrived, stood in line side-by-side, for a dull ride after all!

It’s a dull ride after all, plywood urchins 3 feet tall,
    Cardboard cutouts on the wall

It’s a dull ride after all.

‘gotta run, meds are running low

Hey Dennis, unless you have lived where you are now since Disneyland first started fireworks shows then you got no reason to comment. You shouldn’t live so close to a world wide destination if it bothers you

  • NoMasIllegals says:

I’ve lived close to Disneyland for the majority of my life and it seems that the fireworks have gotten louder recently? Or am I just getting old?

    • ocbear says:

I’ve lived close enough to hear the fireworks for the past 35+ years and they are quieter than they used to be a long time ago. If it bothers anyone then just move somewhere else…

  • Demitrius says:

I wouldn’t want to put up with the noise night after night so I wouldn’t dare move nearby. That said though, I really enjoy the Disneyland fireworks shows!

  • Marie says:

Like it matters what fireworks show Disneland uses. They are all the same—noisy and air-polluting. With all Disney’s money and supposed creativity, you’d think they could come up with a show that doesn’t disturb people as far away as Placentia and pollute the sky for miles around.

  • Marie says:

I love the idiotic logic that people who live miles from Disneyland shouldn’t complain because the park was there first. Following that same logic, you shouldn’t complain if a pedophile abducts your child if he moved into the neighborhood before you did. Do you people actually think before you post or do you just smooch Disney’s behind unconditionally?
