November’s only just begun, but that doesn’t mean it’s too early for some Christmas cheer. Stevie Wonder brought just that as he performed in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle for a multitude of fans on Sunday.
Wonder filmed a segment for the annual Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade, where he performed the song, “That’s What Christmas Means to Me.”
Some fans waited hours to catch a glimpse of the legendary performer. Jasmine Catolico of Anaheim got to Disneyland at 8 a.m. and had been waiting in line for sixhours to save a spot for her family to see Wonder.”Watching Stevie was incredible,” Catolico said.
“This was my first time to anything like this - seeing Stevie,” Catolico’s mom Rhonda said. “We’ve been Stevie fans for a long time, and Jasmine’s becoming one.”
“That’s What Christmas Means to Me” will be featured in the TV Christmas special, but the audience was treated to a few more tunes, including “Sir Duke” and “Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours.” Wonder even did a little improv - changing the lyrics of “My Cherie Amour” to relate to Disneyland.
Tune in to ABC on Christmas morning to watch Stevie Wonder’s performance in the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade.
