Did you know that you can get free refills on coffee at Disneyland?

Since 1955, Main Street’s Market House has given free refills on coffee.  Purchase a cup of coffee (regular, decaf, vanilla or hazelnut) for $2.59 and save your receipt.

coffeeshop0001There’s no need to keep the cup. Just bring back the receipt and enjoy free refills all day.

At other food venues, visitors can get free refills only as long as they are continuing to dine at the location, said David Gill, a Disneyland Resort spokesman. They can’t come back later for free refills. That’s a unique deal at Market House only.

Market House sells mostly standard coffee.

If you want a fancier treat (but no free refills), you can find sweet drinks, such as flavored lattes and mochas, at the Blue Ribbon Bakery across Main Street. An employee said that guests can expect holiday-related drinks, like eggnog lattes and peppermint mochas, for the upcoming season.

The prices are pretty much on par with Starbucks and Coffee Bean.

Speaking of Starbucks, Disney officials deny that Starbucks is coming to the park, as the MiceAge.com Web site reported as a rumor recently. Instead, Disney got another new coffee supplier — Joffrey’s. The new coffee began in mid-October, said Suzi Brown, a Disneyland Resort spokeswoman.

Did you know that you can workout while on your Disneyland vacation?  One of Disneyland’s lesser-known attractions, Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes, provides a unique opportunity to burn off that churro and build some muscle.

Though intended for fun, Davy Crockett’s Explorer Canoes attraction has many other uses.

1. The short line is a welcome juxtaposition to the long ones at neighboring Splash Mountain.

2. Sitting amidst amateur canoeist pretty much guarantees that you will get splashed, making the canoes a great way to cool off on a sunny summer day. Read the rest of this entry »

Did you know? 5-foot-tall Splash Mountain height requirement

Did you know that you have to be at least 5 feet tall to sit in the front seat of the log on Splash MountainDisney found that smaller guests are more prone to injury while sitting in the front row, such as slipping under the seat or hitting their head so they created a new, front seat height requirement.

Though the rule has been in affect for about two years, we at Around Disney thought this “Did you know?” was worth sharing when, on a hot summer day, I was denied the opportunity to sit in the front row.  That’s right - the 5 feet tall rule applies not only to kids, but also guests of all ages including this 4′11” Around Disney blogger.

Do you think Splash Mountain's five foot, front row height requirement is reasonable?
