Disney star Hutch Dano hears grandpa as Lincoln

January 13th, 2010, 10:00 am by Mark Eades

Hutch Dano, star of the Disney XD television show “Zeke and Luther,” recently visited Disneyland to see Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, which features the voice of his grandfather as the voice of President Abraham Lincoln.

Hutch said he was always inspired to be an actor by his grandfather, Royal Dano, who died in 1994 when Hutch was just two years old.

“I only got to see the show when I was about six, so I don’t really remember it that well,” said 17-year-old Hutch.

When he got into acting, Hutch said he looked at many of his grandfather’s old films for inspiration. He also finds hearing his grandfather’s voice in the attraction very inspirational.

“I have pride in the show, he’s one of my biggest inspirations for acting and after seeing something like this, it’s a whole different thing,” he said.” I’m seeing him again and he’s been resurrected and alive to me here.”

From the Los Angeles Times:

If dying is easy and comedy is hard, then writing comedy for Disney Channel must be harder still.

Take the biology joke originally considered for the network’s new sitcom “Good Luck Charlie,” which is slated to premiere in the spring. A teenage girl and her “hot” classmate are snuggled on the couch during a study date. When he reaches to turn off the light, she was to say: “Now I’m in the mood for some biology.” …..

Disney is trying something different with “Good Luck Charlie,” a show it hopes will reach across generations in the same way that NBC’s “The Cosby Show” and ABC’s “The Wonder Years” once did.

From People:

Looks like Miley Cyrus has added a new permanent accessory to her look: The 17-year-old appears to have gotten a tattoo that reads “just breathe.”

The singer was taking that bit of advice to heart on Dec. 3 as she sipped virgin daiquiris by the pool of the Fontainebleau Resort in Miami Beach, where she recently wrapped her Wonder World. While sitting poolside in a bikini she revealed what seems to be new ink peeking out from under her bathing suit top.
